There’s a scene in Gillian Flynn’s Sharp Objects that gave me goosebumps, except the action responsible for said goosebumps had nothing to do with the plot. Click the title above to continue reading.

About Me

(She/her) I’m a chronically ill Canadian crime fiction author who’s currently in edits with my agent. My mystery Daughter for Daughter was shortlisted for a Daphne du Maurier Award and a Flash 500 Novel Opening & Synopsis Award. My thriller The Alibi Scheme was shortlisted for a Crime Writers of Canada Award and a Daphne du Maurier Award. I served as the 2021 Secretary for RWA’s Kiss of Death Chapter and as Special Advisor to the Crime Writers of Canada from 2019-2020. When my body lets me, I’m also a marketing and fundraising consultant, a gardener, and a budding home chef, because when your GI system only lets you have one meal a day, you cook the shit out of it. I live and write on lands my people stole and continue to steal from First Peoples, the Inuit, and the Métis. Coming to terms with my chronic illnesses, the dynamic disabilities they cause, and the pieces of life I don’t get to have because of them. In moderating this space, I err on the side of keeping it as safe as possible.
